Who We Are?

We are a ISO 9001:2015 Marine Service company having head office in Mumbai.

Marine Automation & Controls has become highly relevant lately due to entire shipping moving toward connected ship. Hence, we have developed our services around various shades of Marine Automation with the goal to provide effective service by use of our technical prowess, smart technologies & with real time collaborations.

Marine service companies have never been operated professionally, the way Ship Management companies have, and word professionalism was mostly with reference to European companies.

At UGteck™, we have not only changed it but also brought in corporate culture in service with detailed procedures for each type of service with management systems approved by DNV. A service quality is guided by the systems and not by how technician think the service to be done.

Other than conventional physical attendances of technicians onboard for troubleshooting, we have widened our services in remote assist in line with our philosophy of DIY (do it yourself by crew with our assistance) which is made possible by our proprietary remote assist tools UGteck™

Additionally, we have and still developing many test facilities for various type to equipment’s which are visible in our website sections.

Our Story

Founded by Vijay Arora

All his expertise has gone into building a Service Team with wide experience including Marine automation & Instrumentation Engineers, PCB Engineers, PLC programmers & Scada developers, Electrical Engineers, Project Engineers, software developers all of them when work together create an environment to provide 360° service support not just by Physical attendance but remote service and commissioning as-well.

Vijay Arora- Managing Director

An hardcore marine engineer with 13 years of ship management experience and until 2013 was working as Tech head with various shipping companies mostly American & German, managing a fleet of 40+ vessels with personal experience of 65+dockings, an entrepreneur with ability to excel where he put his mind.

Electronic Engineer with wide span of specialization spread over a decade of Marine Service experience, incredibly talented and suave. Well-travelled to over 25+countries with 100+ ship attendances, ingenious capabilities which has shown in numerous projects he headed. He has been trained by schneider, Siemens, Phoenix contact.

Akhilesh Sharma

Service Manager

He brings Extensive specialization spread around 2 decade of Marine Service experience, almost half of it stationed in Dubai. Experience of wide range of shipboard equipment’s including trainings of Rivertrace equipment’s at London facility and Krone in our knowledgebase.

Tony George

Project Manager- Kochi Branch

Our PLC expert with experience in multiple PLC Scada Platforms. He was PLC trainer in the industry and know as Tony Sir. Involved in latest technologies in automation like remote IOT module, NB IOT, Embedded system. He has provided nearly 125 remote sessions to various attending technicians across the globe or directly connected to vessel.

Vinay Mutcha

Service Head Vizag

Over decade of experience of Electricals equipment’s onboard such as Alternator, Busbars, Various Cranes, Stackers & reclaimers. Experience of high voltage system. Commissioning specialist with numerous commissioning of Scrubbers & BWT under his belt. such as AC drives of ABB, Siemens etc

Business Development

Vani is BE in Electronics + Diploma in Automation & Controls. She has expertise in PLC, Scada, HMI programming & has worked many Projects with wireless connected systems for electrical installations. She has also sailed in high seas for ME Scrubber commissioning.

Yogita P

B.E. in Instrumentation engineering with decade of experience in Marine Service Industry & dealing with technicians. Her core competency is commercial evaluation of Projects & detail engineering.

Sneha Viraj Vartak

Sneha is BE in Electronic & communication with a decade of experience with core competency in PCB designing with knowledge in Embedded C programming for microcontroller.
