Our engineers travel globally to provide these services on ships.
We are currently seeking Automation Service Engineers to be based in Singapore as full-time employees on Employment Pass.
Job Description
As an Automation Service Engineer, you will be responsible for attending to ships in Singapore and nearby areas, carrying out troubleshooting on various shipboard control and instrumentation problems. You will be required to attend average 12 ships per month while working out of Singapore.
Specific Duties
Technical Expertise: Perform troubleshooting on various instrumentation, including sensors for pressure, temperature, and flow detection and measurement on equipment such as boilers, gauging systems, alarm monitoring systems, fire alarm systems, power management systems, steering gear, starter systems, Inert gas/N2 plant system, water mist system, PA system, VRCS system etc which are usual machineries onboard ship.
Environment equipment’s: Possess experience with BWT, scrubbers, and other environmental equipment.
Electrical Proficiency: Be proficient in reading electrical drawings and have experience with electrical equipment such as alternators, cranes, bus bars, and synchronization problems is added advantage. Develop wiring, arrangement, and layout diagrams for systems and sub-systems.
Communication protocol: Have hands-on experience with HART, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, and Modbus protocols.
PLC Knowledge: Have basic knowledge of PLCs and ladder drawings.
Experience/Education Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in instrumentation or a similar degree from a recognized university.
Work Experience: Approximately 8+ years of experience, with a minimum of 4 years of experience attending ships.
Willingness to Relocate: Be ready to relocate to Singapore on a UGteck Employment Pass.
Physical fitness: Medically fit for boarding ships at anchorage, age 30+.
Team collaboration: Communication skills to deal with Ship Engineers.
Compensation
Approximately USD 65,000 per annum.
Leave: For every 12 months of work, 1 month of paid leave.
