SHIP ELEVATOR SERVICES

Marine elevators are specially designed elevators to withstand all ship-board conditions such as adverse weather, humidity, rolling, pitching, etc. SOLAS Convention chapter l, part B requires that all equipment fitted onboard ship should be in satisfactory conditions and fit for the service for which it is intended, which also include elevators.

Hence the elevators must not only be part of the ship PMS but maintained well including all the moving gears, automation controls equipment’s, interlock switches, Emergency stop switches, electromagnetic brakes, Gear box & oil, Electro motor, doors, Escape hatch, communication, overload protection device etc and must be serviced by competent technicians.

Our management system

We are working under norms for “lifts on ships” which are ISO 8383 and the EN81/1 and 2.

Our management system for ship elevator services is approved by DNV & Qualified to do the lift service on any type of elevator. Most of the classification societies refer to ISO 8383 while each Flag has its own additional rulings which are to be adhered to.

We advise ship owners to perform safety inspection every year.

Our lift service company manual is detailing all the checks to comply with above guidelines.

Note: Our technicians have seamen book and all STCW safety courses for attending offshore.
